Misteri Sholat Subuh (oleh DR. Raghib As-Sirjani)

(Diambil dari buku 'Misteri Solat Subuh' karangan DR. Raghib As-Sirjani).

How Could You Define Someone Is A Muslim?

1. He/she remembers the Creator (pray) at least 5 times a day.
2. He/she speaks with these guidances.
3. He/she always tries to be grateful and kind.

Hopefully we will be lucky to be always having friend with this such character. Having friend like this will bring us closer to Jannah (heaven). All praise be to Allah, the Lord of the world.

Halal and Haram

Halaal (حلال, halāl, halal) is an Islamic Arabic term meaning "permissible". It has both a general and specific meaning.

When people use the word in Islamic countries, they usually mean to say what is allowed by Islamic Law.

In non-Islamic countries, the word usually means fit to be eaten by a Muslim. (wikipedia)

But actually, in other extended terms, it is also things that are permissible. Like a wife, is 'halal' to be touched by her husband. Another woman for that husband is called 'haram', because it is not permissible/ not allowed for him.

In other context, also could be mean things/money. 'Halal' way to get money is the right way to raise money, like get a job, selling something, etc. And 'haram' way to get money is the wrong way to get money like stealing, to corrupt, etc.

Better way for the concept's understanding:

A man asked his spiritual teacher(ustadz) : "Dear Teacher, I've been married for years and had children. But these couple years I found my wife didn't look as an attractive woman to me anymore."

Teacher: "Did she become fat?"

Husband: "No. She looked the same as she used to be."

Teacher: "Did she get an accident? Somehow she became mentally or physically ill?"

Husband: "No. She is the same as she used to be, healthy and capable as normal."

Teacher: "Did you got the habit and enjoy staring at beautiful women on the street? Did pornography became your way to spend your spare time?"

Husband: "Yes. How did you know?"

Teacher: "When you are so used to HARAM things, find HARAM things enjoyable, eat, sleep or breath with HARAM things, then the HALAL things will become disgusting for you."

The Reasons to Know Who is Muhammad (pbuh) ?

Why we need to know 'Sirah Nabawiyah' (Muhammad's history)? At least there are 5 main reasons:

1) It is a history of one great man, chosen by God, to be the last prophet, with scientific verification method ('shahih' / the writer had to be known/tested, who said who).
2) Every phase of Muhammad's life is very clear. Like some of non muslim writer said, "It is the only well-known man whom 'born under the sunshine' ". We knew what happened in year after year in Muhammad's life. Even some Muhammad's friends (shahabah) described how many white hair in his head and beard. This doesn't happen with another world-religious figure.

3) Sirah Nabawiyah told us history of the last prophet. Muhammad is a very special man chosen by God and scripture was revealed to him (he can not write or read), but God didn't expel Muhammad from his humanity. His life story doesn't included tales or being engaged with divinity, not at all. He is a special man, a messenger, but he is a human like all of us.

4) Sirah Nabawiyah covered every stage and every human's perspective which every man has. Muhammad's history told his life journey as a young man 'the trustworthy'  - with good character (before angel Gabriel came to him), as a messenger, a husband, a father, a hero, a politician, a country leader, an educator and a 'living guide' for people surround him.

5) Sirah Nabawiyah gave undoubtful facts about Muhammad as prophet. Whoever did a research about him in details, will know unbalance power and quantity between his army and his enemy (God had helped him with angels army) in every battle he won. The researcher will know the time is too short in giving people of the world the God's guidance (until he died it was 25 years). Muhammad gave da'wa with a good way; he did da'wa (explained Islam), then being hurted, then continued to give the messages (Qur'an), got followers and so on. If he was forced to fight, then he fought back. He's also treated prisoners from the war very well. That's how Islam spreadt, with good words, gaining faith, not with sword or violence.

However, the biggest miracle from Muhammad is Qur'an itself. A lot of scientific proofs that was founded in this century, already being revealed in Qur'an 1400 years ago. Another miracles from Muhammad are speaking with wolves, date palm tree, small bread was enough for a lot of people, water came out from his finger, etc. But still, the biggest miracle is Qur'an, the God's words. May peace and Allah's blessing be upon him, our beloved prophet, Muhammad (pbuh).
